Records exist of small communities living in the Hermiston area from the early thirteenth century.  The name Hermiston is developed from the traditional Lothian dialect ‘Ferme Town’ and the area has a long farming tradition.

Hermiston Village Farm Steading is a stylish, contemporary conversion and rebuilding of traditional buildings to create beautiful, imaginatively designed, high specification homes in a lovely setting.

Fine details, including original stonework, have been maintained.  However, the main fabric of each new home will be built using stone and slate – reflecting aspects of the history and character of the Steading and surrounding area.
